Refund Policy
We want Chapterlet to be genuinely useful to you. This page explains when we offer refunds and how to request one. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.
Free trial
New paid subscribers may receive a free trial period, disclosed at the time of subscription. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you owe nothing. If you do not cancel, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial and we will charge your payment method.
Monthly subscriptions
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues through the end of the current billing period. We do not prorate or refund partial months after that period has started, except as described below.
Annual subscriptions
If we offer annual subscriptions, you may request a prorated refund of the unused portion within 30 days of the initial charge. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, except as described below.
Exceptions — when we will refund
We will issue a refund in the following cases:
Duplicate or erroneous charges. If you have been charged more than once for the same billing period, or charged after cancelling, contact us and we will refund the extra amount.
Service unavailability. If the Service is materially unavailable for an extended period during a billing cycle because of our error, we will issue a prorated refund or credit at our discretion.
Fair-use discretion. If you had a genuinely bad experience, reach out. We’d rather refund you than hold onto money for a product that didn’t work for you.
Chargebacks
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please contact us first. In most cases we can resolve billing issues faster than a chargeback dispute. Accounts with unresolved chargebacks may be suspended until the dispute is settled.
Your data after cancellation
When you cancel, your tracks, notes, and progress remain in your account so that you can re-subscribe without losing them. If you want your data deleted, you can delete tracks and notes in-app, or request full account deletion by emailing us.
How to request a refund
Email support@chapterlet.com from the email address on your account, with a short description of the issue and any relevant details (date of charge, subscription plan). We aim to respond within three business days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply going forward only — refunds for prior charges are handled under the policy in effect at the time of the charge.
